Sansa Stark, legally Sansa Lannister, is a major character in the first, second and third seasons. She is played by starring cast member Sophie Turner and debuts in the series premiere.

Shae is a major character in the second and third season. She initially appeared as a recurring character in the first season and debuted in "Baelor." She is played by starring cast member Sibel Kekilli.

Tyrion Lannister is a major character in the first, second and third seasons. He is played by starring cast member Peter Dinklage and debuts in the series premiere. Tyrion Lannister is the youngest son of Lord Tywin Lannister, and uses his wit and intellect to overcome the prejudice he faces as a dwarf.
